Jul 24 Comic book style marker illustration

There is a big party going on in San Diego from  July 21st through 24th. It is called Comic-Con 2011.

Originally showcasing comic books, science fiction/fantasy and film/television, and related popular arts, the convention has expanded over the years to include a larger range of pop culture elements, such as horror, animation, anime, manga, toys, collectible card games, video games, webcomics, and fantasy novels. The convention is the largest in the Americas, and fourth largest in the world after the Comiket in Japan, the Angoulême International Comics Festival in France, and the Lucca Comics and Games in Italy, filling to capacity the San Diego Convention Center with over 130,000 attendees in 2010.

I hear that every year  it is becoming bigger and bigger, with increased number of audiences and Hollywood  participants. This year, even Glee team joined, which I don’t understand why.

Although I’ve never been a big fan of comic books, (I was only into teen romance Manga) while the buzz is on, I thought it would be fun to try a comic book style illustration with my marker pens. To be more accurate, I saw a picture of Lady Gaga with pointy breast wire installments on her wardrobe and immediately, I related it to a comic book heroine idea. She has been always like a comic book character anyway. So here she goes as a comic book heroine!
